Horrible.

You should have quit after the lightsaber fight scene. What's the point of this cartoon? Horribly drawn and animated, short and completely unfunny. All this was was a horrible and inacurate recreation of the duel in The Empire Strikes Back. This cartoon is an insult to Star Wars.

Red-Wolf responds:

You sir, are a minority haha. but there nothing wrong with an opinion. Duelly noted.

Very cool.

Hey, this is what it's about, right? Traditional animation, nice to see more of this stuff. I have always been fascinated by traditional hand-drawn animation, and you did quite a nice job. You should keep it up. I too focus on traditional hand-drawn animation, and I have a couple on Newgrounds (they're not done on acetate though, I used regular paper and traced with my lightbox, so there are no backrounds or anything). Anyway, you did an excelent job, very stylistic, and well-drawn. You have a lot of tallent. Keep up the good work!

OscarBaldwinStudio responds:

Yeah traditional animation is good but Flash is easier. the next thing i submit will be flash. I watched you're origin of hair. It was funny. Reminded me of the beatle's cartoon style.

Pretty good.

That was a good video, however, there were a few minor glitches I feel I should bring to your attention. For one, there was a moment where the subtitles cut out too quickly, and then soon reappeared as Mario began a new set of dialogue (when he was talking to toad in front of the castle). Other then that, nothing major that I can remember off hand. There were some things like Mario dissapearing for a frame or two and sound being out of sync, but that probably isn't a problem. Overall, this reminded me a bit of Animator vs. Animation 2, but it was still a pretty neat concept, and I really enjoyed the voice acting. You do a pretty decent Mario. Most people just use standard Mario soundboards. Also a couple good chuckles. Anyway, it was a good video, my only question though is what were those red dots he fought in the computer? Just random dots, or where they something particular you'd find in a computer?

Dugh responds:

Its just some random dots.

Great concept poorly executed.

Overall, this was a pretty good cartoon. Graphics were decent, very good concept, sounds were good, good overall production, only there was one big problem. The fights were not good. They were almost completely unfunny, unentertaining, and some didn't even make sense. This could be a great video, if the fights were made to be a little better.

Team-Retro06 responds:

The main reason that I made the fight so short was the fact I’ve seen a few fight parody’s like this on newgrounds.com with long fights and they bored me to tears so I tried to go the other way with it happening super fast with silly results, but you can't please everyone, but thanks for your criticism and I will take note for the second one, if I make one.

That was awesome.

Nice video. This is the first I've seen in the series, but I am definately going to check out some more. Very cool idea, and having a live action video on Newgrounds is pretty uncommon. One thing I noticed is in one scene where the camera was up close to the controller, there was no wire attached. What's up with that??? Anyhoo, keep coming out with more of these, great laughs.

FarFromSubtle responds:

Lots more coming dude!

Hmmm...

Sorry to say, but this weeks edition did not match the quality of some of the other episodes. The only good clips in this was the alien one at the beginning, and the guy who was lounging in front of the beach scene, other then that, the rest were unclever, un-funny, and not well drawn. This wasn't what I expect from Sunday Comics & Toons. I think you need to do a little more quality control in the next issue. Bring back some of the classics like the lonely zombie, the man without a penis, the two guys with the girl roommate. I feel bad leaving a review like this, as I like your work very much. I just felt that I needed to mention that this was not as good as the others. Better luck with next weeks issue.

RSQViper responds:

All the ones you mention are artists that were unable to participate this week.

The C&T will always have turnover so every week it should be expected that it will look different.

Thanks for the review.

Wow, that was such a rip-off.

Okay, listen. Don't ever submit something like that again. Now I'm not discouraging you from making more claymations, as your animation skills show a lot of potential, but please for the love of God, do something different. Seriously, there are endless numbers of claymations now-a-days that are Knox-rip offs. If you're going to make a claymation, please sculpt characters, make it your own. Don't just take blue blobs and manipulate them around, add some detail. Also, backrounds would be nice. Secondly, the last person was right, you should not be doing the voices. Also, please make the story a little original, not just pure randomness like Knox's clay movies. Make it your own style, you know. Make a story or something. Listen, as far as animating goes, you're pretty good, keep it up, but please take my suggestions. Also, you have to get rid of that trial thing.

TamiyaGuy responds:

*sigh* you do not believe how many people i've said this to (no offence). I'm about to buy SMP, so the text will be gone. I'm really young, so i can't really hire a voice actor. That movie was just the start, it will have a big storyline. Hope that unties a few knots. Anyway, glad you like my animation skills!

Was that maybe the worst collab I've seen?

Please, end this series now!

Fallenanzel responds:

no

Once again I enjoyed another Sunday Comics & Toons

Great job again. I really like how you added three different music options. Personally, I liked the third backround music the best. Some good toons, glad to see the lonely zombie again. My favorite at least in this selection was the boy on the computer with the alien. That one is so great, just like a newspaper comic. Looking forward to next week's edition.

RSQViper responds:

Awesome to see you back and reviewing. Oh, and it's "Zombi" with no "E" in that comic. Hehe. Purposefully mispelled.

Glad you liked the comics. Especially mine!

Another great Sunday Comics and Toons.

Man, you guys are just so good at this. Very good comic type jokes, every one was funny in this one. The music was a little annoying, but other then that, nice. My favorite is the man without a penis. I would like to maybe contribute one day, if you would want. I have a few submissions on Newgrounds, maybe you'd wanna take a look and see if you'd be interested, and just drop me a private message or something. Anyway, great job, really cool.

RSQViper responds:

Thanks for checking us out again. I'm glad you liekd it and liked the changes.

Also, I like your style of claymation if you want to jump into the collab.

Thanks for the review!
